First I will want to say kudos to e-agriculture for yet anothe forum.
The interesing thing about ict and research is access to uptodate information whether it be research information or new findings. And if we say the few technologically advanced farmers can provide all the food we need we could not be telling the whole truth.
Access to information should be simplified, local uneducated unexposed farmers should be carried along in the scheme of things mediums should be provided where they could be taught. agricultural organizations should work with local universities , on schemes that will educate the local farmer
Yes some work is being done already but more needs to be done

Hello all i am emefe oghenevwairhe I am a Nigerian Studied Agriculture specializing in fisheries currently rounding up my M.sc in fishries I have worked as a project manager in an High tech Fish farm since 2006 till date i have been teaching the subject of Agriculture to high school students. my interest in ICT is how to ensure the women in the developing countries especially in the tropics first; get to know there is something like ICT second: know what they stand to benefit third: know how to participate Emefe Oghenevwairhe

Of all the activities of man one of his man focus it to take care of himself and to be able to meet the responsibilities accrued to him It is onle a healthy man that csn reason well so the place of food for man cannot be overemphasized. Discovery has been the bane of mans exixtence. These information that most of the time are organised into relevant data for easy access should me made available at every point in time sometimes if you do not have money infomation is difficult. this should not be as information made available could be used by productive minds for the improvement of us all. In amy case price should be attached to information in should be at a grossly subsidised rate. There should be research patnerships with deleloping countries and there are untapped goldmines in them
