Moshia completed his Ph.D. at Colorado State University through Fulbright Scholarship. In 2016/17 he was awarded another Fulbright and went to the University of Florida as Fulbright Visiting Research Scholar in Environmental Soil Science (Precision Agriculture and Machine learning). He was awarded a prestigious Y2 rating (Promising Young Researcher) by the National Research Foundation. This six-year (2016 - 2021) recognition award is given to scholars with a sustained recent record of productivity in their field and is recognized by their peers as having produced a body of quality work.
