Hello, Coming from a geographic perspective, I am wondering what plans CGIAR might have as far as opening access to geographic information. I have seen many publications related to spatial data from CGIAR, but in this age of global interaction, has CGIAR looked at commercial or open source tools to post geographic data as a live service that anyone can access and easily incorporate in their own applications? Some of these methodologies have been tested in the field by groups such as SDI East Africa and seem to hold promise for implementation at the grass roots level while adhering to global standards.
