Girls in ICTs - 2022 Theme: Access & Safety

For girls and young women to thrive in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) careers, they need safe and reliable access to the internet and digital tools.
That’s why, in consultation with youth, ITU identified “Access and Safety” as our theme for Girls in ICT 2022.This year and every year, ITU and our partners work together to develop solutions and ideas for lowering barriers to access and improving safety online for girls and young women.
This year, International Girls in ICT Day will be celebrated on 28 April.
