I am Margherita Bavagnoli I am currently working in FAO for the FSN Forum team as Communication Intern.  At the moment I am carrying out background research on the topics discussed in order to identify relevant resources and bibliography and increase the FSN Forum audience. My tasks are also the  management of newsletters and mailing lists. I am involved in the drafting of discussion summaries and reports.  Moreover, I am is assisting the FSN Forum team in the organization and execution of the Webinar which took place the last November and the workshop organised in December.

I has just graduated from the Master Human Development and Food Security at the Roma Tre University. I been working on a thesis about Food Policies to promote smallholder farmers networks, and I had the chance to interview several experts such as Olivier de Schutter and Biraj Patel.

My academic background is in Business Administration and Management and then in Marketing Management.

I gained experience between London (Google Campus) and Rome in commercial entrepreneurs as Marketing and Communication Intern. My duties where the management of an on-line plat form and communication through social media accounts - Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Google Analytics.

I worked as volunteer in the field, specifically in a small village of Mozambique not far from Maputo, where I realized a communication project to fund raise. 

My passion is about Communication for Food Security and Rural Development, and I am writing a PhD proposal focused on the use of Participatory videos and farmers online networks for knowledge sharing in Africa and Latin America.
