Dickson Otieno is an agribusiness specialist who apart from being a Master of Science student in Agri-enterprise Development also has a multi country experience in Zambia, Tanzania, Malawi and Kenya, promoting sustainable agriculture and agribusiness management. He has special interest in innovative entrepreneurship and youth empowerment through social entrepreneurship, agri-enterprise development, skilled and practical learning. Having a background of Bachelors in Agribusiness Management and now MSc Agri-Enterprise Development (2nd year of study), Dickson has the requisite knowledge to make major contributions in agribusiness leading to informed agri-entrepreneurs through training on innovative agribusiness. Dickson develops structures for companies and over the past, Mr. Otieno has worked closely with executives, top officials in different governments, his professional peers, youths, women and elderly people. In his activities he has had a rapport with his clients and other social groups he has interacted with; including as the head of graduate students in the department of Agricultural Economics and Agribusiness Management of Egerton University. Being an aggressive student, he works closely with individual farmers, farmer groups, community based/faith-based organizations and young entrepreneurs through training, business plan competitions and agribusiness. This has since given him a holistic approach to principles of sustainable development and its goals.
