Eric Nelson Haumba is the Chief Librarian and Lecturer at YMCA Comprehensive Institute Kampala. He is a knowledge management consultant with over five years’ experience in capacity development in knowledge management, data management and ICT4D. He has provided consultancy and capacity building in social science research, knowledge management and other disciplines. Eric has been implementing a number of capacity building programmees and strategies in the last five years in an effort to reinforce knowledge management processes, advocacy, mobilization and growth, and raising institutions. He is also a well-rounded, experienced, and competent copyeditor and author who has been writing and editing manuscripts for over eight years. He holds a Master of Science in Information Science from Makerere University, Bachelor of Information Science from Uganda Christian University, CPD from University of Pretoria, IFLA/OCLC Fellow 2017, Certificate in Monitoring & Evaluation and Certificate in Project Planning and Management. He is a multidisciplinary researcher with interests in: ICT4D, Knowledge Management, Information Ethics, Library Automation and Digitization, Health Informatics, Open Access, Open science, Intellectual Property and Agro-Ecology. He is also a social media promoter with experience in the field and has worked on various social media campaigns with a number of societies in Africa.
