- Cleaning, sterilizing and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Training of staff in plant tissue culture technique and staff performance evaluation.
- Preparation and Sterilization of plant materials for explants.
- Plant Media Preparation.
- Micropropagation of sugarcane plantlets under aseptic laboratory conditions.
- Ensuring aseptic operations, including the excision of explants, the initiation of new cultures and transfer of existing cultures to fresh media.
- Delivering of matured seedlings to the greenhouse for acclimatization and subsequent hardening.
