Dr. Manal Eid is Associate Professor of Genetics at Faculty of Agriculture, Suez Canal University, Egypt. She received her PhD from University of Plymouth, UK in 2001. Subsequently, she was a member of the Millennium Ecosystem Assessment team, which was launched by the UN Secretary-General in June 2001. In 2008, Dr. Eid was awarded a Tempus grant that allowed her to research the development of genetics curricula for universities and academic institutions in Ghent University in Belgium. Since, her promotion to associate professor, Dr. Eid has focused on the quality assurance and accreditation process of higher education in Egypt. To that end, she earned a certificate of Train-the-Trainer program from the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education. She is also certified in Institutional Self Evaluation for Higher Education; learning outcomes and Curriculum Maps for Higher Education Institutions; and External Review of Higher Education Institutions
