This Volume contains the reports of the Working Parties and Scientific Committees convened by IOTC in between 1999 and 2002, as well as the papers presented during those meetings. The reports of the meetings contained herein have been presented to the Commission and can be considered as official proceedings. The scientific papers contained in this Volume have not been approved or revised by IOTC or its subsidiary bodies. Thus, the content of each paper is the responsibility of the author(s). Many of these papers deal with on-going research and their conclusions may not yet be definitive. In order to ascertain the validity of the data and the conclusions contained in the papers, users are requested to contact the authors. In cases where the papers have been published elsewhere, only the summary is presented. Papers which cannot be cited without prior authorization of the authors are indicated.
