The next Plenary of the Global Forest Observations Initiative (GFOI) will be held in 2025. The exact dates and location are still being considered but please watch this space for more details.

The GFOI Plenary brings together the international community of forest monitoring countries, practitioners, development partners and others who work to build national capacity in tropical countries.

Plenaries are normally hosted by partners worldwide. The last physical event was held in 2023 at the Headquarters of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Rome, Italy, and online (see the event webpage and Flickr photo collection). Due to the pandemic, the GFOI Plenary 2020 was cancelled and an online event was convened in 2021.
