Regional Conference Central American Cooperative Program for Crops and Animal Improvements
05 Apr 2016 - 08 Apr 2016
The conference will highlight the importance of IYP and the role of beans in Latin-American diets and beans crops. Beans are one of the most important sources of protein in Latin America and the Caribbean. This legume provides nutrition factors, social and economic stability to small farmers, and is both an important and permanent job source in rural communities.
Renowned researchers and speakers will attend the meeting to discuss on current topics such as regional strategies for food security, mitigation and adaptation to climate change, rural and territorial development, family farming and innovation in agriculture to improve yield through efficient use of natural resources such as soil, water and non-traditional crops.
Location: Hotel Crowne Plaza San José Corobici
