The International Year of Pulses comic strip for kids
Learning about pulses just got a whole lot more fun! Today FAO releases a new educational comic strip that introduces children to the many benefits of pulses.
This two-page, full colour booklet tells the story of two children and their grandmother as they learn about the history of pulses, as well as their nutritional benefits and fun ways to cook them. The back pages feature a delicious, kid-friendly fava bean recipe. + READ MORE
IYP REGIONAL DIALOGUES (RD)
FAO is planning to hold a series of regional dialogues to enhance local and regional discussions on the important role of pulses. The regional dialogues aim at strengthening national, regional and local capacities to formulate and implement policies and programmes to improve nutritional status.
The First IYP Regional Dialogue (for Africa) was held on 19/20 April 2016 in Marrakesh - Morocco as a side event of the International Conference on Pulses for Health, Nutrition, and Sustainable Agriculture in Drylands organized by ICARDA and INRA from 18 to 20 April 2016.
