PICEA SITCHENSIS
In 1970 collections of 47 sites were made as follows:
9 sites in Alaska
37 sites in British Columbia
1 site in Washington
A total of 65 seed sources are available, including seed collected in 1968.

PSEUDOTSUGA MENZIESII
Seed was collected in 1966, 1968, 1969 and 1970. Samples from 109 sites are still available from the earlier collections. In 1970 small samples from 10 sites were procured despite the poor crop. The total amount of seed stored is 107 kg.

PINUS CONTORTA
Approximately 20 kg of seed is still left of the collections made in 1967 and 1968 (86 sites). In 1970 two samples from Montana were procured.

PINUS LAMBERTIANA
A collection of 15 different sources in Oregon and California has been made. This corresponds to 118 single trees of which the seed has been kept separate. The collection represents the whole range of the species with the exception of some of the isolated, southern occurrences.

PICEA MARIANA Petawawa Forest Experiment Station, Ontario, Canada, has been kind enough to offer IUFRO samples from very extensive collections. Samples from 53 localities are held by the Seed Centre.
SEED COLLECTIONS IN THE ROCKY MOUNTAINS 1971
In 1971 the Hørsholm Arboretum received funds to cover the expenses of a seed collection tour in the Rocky Mountains in USA.
The following samples are available:

Simultaneously the Iceland Forest Service carried out a similar collecting programme supported by FAO. The aim was to collect seed samples at or near the timber line along the ranges of the Rocky Mountains and the Cascada Mountains. The Iceland Forest Service has generously handed over to IUFRO a large part of the samples still available comprising
