The vessels itinerary was as follows:
Departure Punto Fijo: 6 DecemberFigure 1 shows the course tracks and the fishing - and hydrographical stations worked. After the departure from Punto Fijo the work started with a coverage of western side of the Gulf of Venezuela. A hydrographical profile was worked off the Peninsula Guajira and one further west off Riohacha. The shelf westwards was worked with a combined trawl- and acoustic survey and with a few hauls testing for deep water shrimp in the slope. A breakdown of the main vessel generator off Santa Marta on December 11 caused a two day curtailing of the survey.
