Covering 12 countries, it highlights challenges such as waste segregation, limited infrastructure, and market development, alongside opportunities in nutrient recycling and soil health improvement.

Recommendations emphasize enhancing production technologies, policy support, and farmer training. The study underlines the need for integrated systems, combining organic and biofertilizers with traditional methods, to ensure environmental sustainability and economic viability in African agriculture.
