Insights from agroecology policy advocacy across Brazil

This article discusses Brazil's National Articulation of Agroecology (ANA) and its shift to advocating for agroecology policies at the local level following political challenges.

It highlights ANA's strategies, such as mapping local policies, engaging with municipal elections, and launching campaigns to influence state and federal elections. ANA successfully gathered commitments from many elected officials to support agroecology. Despite challenges, such as limited resources and opposition from agribusiness interests, ANA continues to promote sustainable practices through grassroots efforts and national advocacy.
