This report presents the results of the GEA pilot phase. The purpose is to share the methodological learnings and present the cases produced by the partners who generously volunteered their time. The first section discusses the conceptual approach to evidence that guided the GEA methodology. The following section describes how the pilot was implemented, the challenges faced by grantees and the lessons learned. The final section presents the four cases developed during the pilot phase. These have been adapted for clarity as follows:

• Slow Food communicated its two cases in video format. For the purposes of this report, Stats4SD prepared a written piece presenting the contents of the videos and the logical framework that guided Slow Food’s development of the cases.

• GAIA and CEDAC both communicated their cases in written format in their respective native languages. These have been translated into English and shortened for this report.
