Making a difference in food security and nutrition
The CFS Multi-Year Programme of Work (MYPoW) sets out the Committee’s vision, priorities and activities over a four-year period.
It guides CFS’s work to eliminate hunger and malnutrition by promoting inclusive dialogue, developing global policy guidance, and supporting countries in advancing food security and nutrition.
The thematic topics and activities are proposed and agreed by the Members of the Committee through an inclusive process.
Through its workstreams and supportive activities, the MYPoW strengthens coordinated action and policy coherence at global, regional and national levels.
CFS seeks to realize its vision of eliminating hunger and malnutrition for all by delivering specific outputs under its three core Strategic Objectives:
- Strategic Objective 1: Platform – Serving as the foremost inclusive international and intergovernmental platform for dialogue, coordination and collective action on food security and nutrition.
- Strategic Objective 2: Policy – Developing voluntary global policy guidance to promote policy convergence and coherence.
- Strategic Objective 3: Uptake – Fostering the use, follow-up and review of CFS policy products, and encouraging the sharing of experiences and good practices at all levels.
