    The Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA) Advisory Board has been meeting annually since the beginning of the ASFA service/system in 1970. The functions of the ASFA Board are to decide upon, and oversee the implementation of policy matters with respond to the ASFA Service. Besides providing a forum for discussing the ongoing maintenance and the future development of the ASFA system, the Meeting also provides an opportunity for ASFA Partners to report on their accomplishments during the intersessional period. The 46th Annual Meeting of the Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Abstracts (ASFA) Advisory Board was attended by 31 participants from: 25 National ASFA Partners, 2 UN ASFA Partners, 2 International ASFA Partners, and the ASFA Publishing Partner. The body of the Summary report represent the minutes of the Meeting as recorded by the Rapporteur and a number of annexes.

    The Meeting was attended by 31 participants from: 21 National ASFA Partners, 2 UN Partners, 1 International ASFA Partner, the ASFA Publishing Partner, and 1 observer. One new ASFA Partner was welcomed into the ASFA network: National Marine Information and Research Centre (NatMIRC), Namibia, bringing the total number of ASFA Partners to 67. The ASFA Board approved 5 new ASFA Trust Fund proposals for a total of approximately US$180 000. The ASFA Publisher, ProQuest, deposited US$231 348.29 in roya lties for 2010.
