    Le projet RWEE est basé sur les besoins spécifiques des bénéficiaires en Tunisie qui est le premier pays sélectionné dans la région NENA. Ce projet s'étend sur cinq ans (2022-2027) et prend en considération le contexte spécifique de la Tunisie à travers deux gouvernorats : Kairouan et Jendouba. Le projet RWEE touche 3 000 bénéficiaires dont 14 400 ménages composés d'hommes, de femmes et d'enfants. Le programme ciblera 2 220 femmes et 780 hommes en tant que bénéficiaires directs. Ce programme est considéré comme la première expérience de quatre agences du système des Nations Unies (FAO / PAM / IFAD / UN WOMEN) qui interviennent pour devenir un exemple de coordination réussie et qui se complètent mutuellement pour une plus grande valeur ajoutée dans la mise en œuvre des activités du projet.

    Under the first phase of the programme, a number of methodologies and approaches were piloted which contributed to establishing the Joint Programme ‘Accelerating Progress Towards Rural Women’s Economic Empowerment’ (JP RWEE) as a well proven model for rural women’s economic empowerment.     This brief presents the findings of the Global End-term Evaluation of the Joint Programme on “Accelerating Progress towards the Economic Empowerment of Rural Women” (JP RWEE). JP RWEE is a global initiative that aims to secure rural women’s livelihoods and rights in the context of sustainable development. Jointly implemented since 2012 by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women and Girls (UN Women) and the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), in Ethiopia, Guatemala, Kyrgyzstan, Liberia, Nepal, Niger and Rwanda, the JP RWEE builds on each agency’s comparative advantages to improve the status of women in rural areas.
