No results found.The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) is currently formulating the Third Asia-Pacific Forest Sector Outlook Study (APFSOS III). APFSOS III aims to provide a clear picture of emerging opportunities and challenges for forestry in Asia and the Pacific to 2030 and 2050, laying out a solid foundation for long-term strategic planning by decision-makers including governments, investors, industries, civil society, and other stakeholders. As part of APFSOS III, back-to-back technical workshops on (1) Trade of Forest Products and (2) Forest Governance were held on 26-27 September 2018 at RECOFTC – The Center for People and Forests, Bangkok, Thailand to look at the trends and discuss the outlook for 2030. This report presents the key recommendations that came out of the meeting. -

No results found.The second meeting of the Third Asia Pacific Forest Sector Outlook Study (APFSOS III) Advisory Committee took place on 14–15 November at the headquarters of the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) in Bogor, Indonesia. It followed the first meeting of the committee on 26–27 April 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand. Twenty-nine experts from various organizations and backgrounds attended the meeting.
