I am an Animal Scientist and Global Development professional committed to advancing sustainable livestock systems within the emerging bioeconomy. My work focuses on transforming livestock into a bio-based economic engine that generates food, energy, data, and sustainable materials while supporting rural development and environmental stewardship. Grounded in the One Health framework, I recognize the interconnected relationships between animal productivity, human well-being, and ecosystem sustainability. My work integrates science, technology, and enterprise to design livestock systems that improve productivity, strengthen climate resilience, and unlock new value streams from biological resources. I operate at the intersection of biotechnology, livestock systems, climate resilience, and circular bioeconomy innovation. My focus includes sustainable production, efficient livestock value chains, and developing bio-based solutions that convert agricultural resources and waste streams into economic opportunities. Through initiatives such as Nigeria’s National Animal Identification and Traceability System (NAITS), I have contributed to implementing data-driven livestock governance systems that enhance transparency, disease management, productivity, and market integration. Beyond research and policy, I am driven by innovation and bio-based enterprise development. Through AGRIFY, I am developing digital platforms that enable data-driven, climate-smart livestock management. With MäCHTIG FEEDS, I produce nutrient-optimized feeds that improve livestock productivity and resource efficiency. Through BOVEVERGY, I am pioneering livestock waste-to-bioenergy systems that convert manure into bio-CNG and other renewable energy sources, demonstrating how livestock systems can power circular bioeconomy models that reduce emissions while creating energy markets. These experiences have shaped my vision of livestock not only as a source of food but as a central pillar of the bioeconomy capable of producing food, renewable energy, and bio-based value while strengthening climate resilience and rural livelihoods. Whether in laboratories, boardrooms, or rural communities, I translate knowledge into solutions that enhance productivity, promote sustainability, and strengthen food systems. Currently, I am expanding my expertise in bioeconomy innovation, livestock systems transformation, and bioenergy integration to contribute to climate-smart, circular, and economically viable livestock value chains across Africa and globally.
