Dr. Mukul Chandra Bora, presently working as State Project Administrator of State Project Implementation Unit – North East (A unit of Ministry of Education in Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme, Government of India). He is presently on deputation from Dibrugarh University where he was working as Director, Dibrugarh University Institute of Engineering and Technology DUIET) till October 2017. Dr. Bora has obtained B.E (Civil Engineering) from Jorhat Engineering College (1989), M.Tech (Geotechnical Engineering) from IIT Kharagpur (2000) and PhD in Ground Improvement from IITGuwahati (2011). He is having more than 30 years of experience in the area of Construction, Teaching, Research and Consultancy. His area of expertise includes Ground Improvement, Use of Geosynthetics in Soft Soil Improvement, Sustainable Construction, Use of Non Bio-degradable Waste in Concrete, Sustainable Development and Climate Change as well as History of Science and Technology of Ancient India. Although his primary area of research is related to Soft Ground Improvement but he is more interested in need based research required for the development of the human population and society. He has represented as Visitor’s nominee to act as a Member to Academic Council of North Eastern Hill University (NEHU), Shillong and as an Expert Member (Board of Town and Country Planning) of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. During his tenure in Dibrugarh University as Director of DUIET he was serving as Member of different committees of the University related to Planning and Construction, Academic Council. He is also reviewers of different Journals and Conferences in National and International repute.
