My name is Vladimir Stankovic and I am part of the WSIS team at ITU. I am from Serbia and in the last five years I worked as a Policy Analyst for ITU: first in Sector for Development for the Europe Region, then in WSIS, where I mostly facilitate the WSIS Stocktaking process, including the world renowned WSIS Prizes contest, but also innovative segments of the WSIS Forum such as linking WSIS with SDGs, working with TEDx Talks, virtual reality and 3D printing for sustainable development, expending WSIS Stocktaking on the regional level etc. It has been my pleasure to witness the tremendous increase of global attention to the WSIS process, including those who are interested to share their success stories in form of ICT-related projects and initatives at the WSIS Stocktaking platform while running for the WSIS Prizes awards - because sharing is caring.
Before ITU, I worked for 4 years advising the Minister for telecommunications and information society in Serbia on various international affairs, and prior to joining the government back home, I have worked 2 years for the SMOM Mission to UN in New York where I covered expert meetings on humanitarian affairs. I have a Master in Telecommunications Law (Serbia) and a BA degree in International Studies (USA).
