Arnaud Durand graduated in 2008 a Master’s Degree in Engineering from the “Ecole Supérieure des Géomètres et Topographes” in France. After a first experience as land surveyor, he managed during 7 years projects in GIS and Remote Sensing within the University of Strasbourg, France, specialized in Emergency Response and Disaster Risk Reduction. He was strongly involved in the Copernicus framework, amongst other initiatives through the Rapid Mapping service element of the European Commission’s Emergency Management Service. Concurrently, he conducted successfully several missions for the European Commission and the United Nations. He works now as Account Manager at European Space Imaging, where he manages satellite imagery sales for numerous countries in Europe, North Africa, and Middle East.
