Dr. Botir Dosov is coordinating Strategic Innovation Platform for multi-stakeholder process to foster reducing vulnerability of the agro-pastoral system and improve sustainability of intensifiable systems within CGIAR Research Program on Dryland Systems leading by International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas (ICARDA). He has overall 20 years of experience in economics, agricultural economics, monitoring and evaluation of development programs, food security, agricultural innovation systems, agricultural research for development; institutional networks, rural development and agrarian reform. From 2011 he works as Technical Adviser to the Central Asia and the Caucasus Association of Agricultural Research Institutions. Since 2014 he has been facilitating the Central Asia and the Caucasus Forum of Rural Advisory services He is a member of High Level Panel of Experts (HLPE) of the World Committee for Food Security, and a part of HLPE Project Team on "Sustainable Agricultural Development for Food Security and Nutrition, including the role of livestock ". He has worked in FAO, UNDP, Eurasian Center for Food security, World bank, Asian Development bank, IFPRI, GIZ projects. He has academic and professional background in working in educational systems, e.g. Universities, high and secondary schools, private sector, and public/government sectors organizations/agencies.
