Chiamaka Ndukwu is the Founder and CEO of AgroHive, Africa's first ever Agriculture Human Resource Company that is deploying ICT in agriculture to Upgrade the skills of unemployed youths, especially unemployed agricultural graduates , through intensive blended trainings, after which they are linked-up with agribusinesses in dire need of skilled agricultural experts.
AgroHive has over the years upskilled and improved the livelihoods of agricultural professionals in 5 different countries and currently has a team of passionate agricultural professionals across Nigeria, Uganda, Liberia, France and Finland .
Before founding AgroHive, Chiamaka has worked with diverse technology start-ups and her most exciting work experience is with FarmCoach, now a subsidiary of TheGreenriseHub, which leverages technology in providing extension, consultancy , agricultural incubation and acceleration programs for agritech start-ups and farmers in Africa.
In 2019, she emerged the first runner up of the Farmers For Future grant organized by the British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation in collaboration with New Nigeria Foundation and was nominated for the Future Awards Africa (TFAA) Prize for Agriculture, as one of the six young agro-preneurs mitigating food security challenges in Nigeria . Recently she became the first female founder to win the FCMB Agritech Epic pitch competition where she emerged the first runner up.
She has contributed to international discussions on solutions to food insecurity and capacity development for agribusinesses across the globe as a panelist on the CGIAR Big-data platform for Agriculture and the International Climate Change Development Initiative , respectively.
When not working on AgroHive, Chiamaka leverages her experience as well as new technology insights and knowledge of agricultural policies to sensitize rural youths and women in various communities, on how to become active participants in sustainable agriculture, using digital tools.
