iDrone Services Limited was formed in November 2016 in a small agriculture town in Southern Province of Zambia, Choma.  The interest of forming the company came through discussions with Choma commercial farmers whilst flying toy drones for inspections. The skill and knowledge were acquired by attending an Industrial multi-copter training from Action Drone and Slantrange Inc. for multispectral sensor in San Diego, USA. Thereafter, pilot projects were undertaken to integrate the UAS-ICT skills by working with commercial farmers focusing on Crop Stress analysis and implementing variable fertiliser rate. The company has successfully done stress maps and bio- mass analysis on Seed Maize, Soya Bean, Tobacco and Wheat crop fields.

iDrone Services provides drone-enabled multispectral imagery database and analysis services to the Zambian commercial farmers. Our future vision is to train and incorporate the local subsistence farmers so that they can also make informed decisions on crop management by using ICT based e-Agriculture services.
