Ms. Sreymom Oy complemented her Bachelor Degree in Public Health at the Asian University for Women in Bangladesh in Mary 2014. She then joined Food and Agriculture Organization of United Nation in Cambodia as a nutrition assistant for the Improved Food Security and Market Linkages for Smallholders project. Currently, she is doing her Master’s degree in Community Nutrition at the South East Asian Ministers of Education Organization, Regional Center for Food and Nutrition, University of Indonesia through DAAD scholarship.
Sreymom’s ultimate goal is to solve nutritional issues especially women and child malnutrition in her home country, Cambodia. Her research interest is in food-based recommendations (FBRs) particularly for women and children. Her Master’s thesis topic is going to focus on FBRs using linear programming approach for combating anemia among adolescent school girls in rural Cambodia.
