En 2023, por tercer año consecutivo, las organizaciones internacionales y regionales CCLAC, IICA, FAO, OIRSA y OPS/PANAFTOSA se unen para celebrar el Día Mundial de la Inocuidad de los Alimentos (DMIA) y enfatizar la importancia de la inocuidad de los alimentos para una mejor salud.

Para su celebración, se realizarán dos actividades. Un webinario en el que participarán diferentes expertos de la región, así como un concurso de dibujo digital, ambos con el objetivo de promover la inocuidad de los alimentos para mejorar nuestra salud. 

El webinario se dividirá en dos sesiones. La primera, compartirá las experiencias y perspectivas de tres países de América Latina y el Caribe en torno a la trazabilidad de los alimentos. ¡El Codex cumple 60 años! y para celebrarlos, durante la segunda sesión, se hará un recorrido por su historia a nivel global, su importancia, su rol destacado y el avance del Codex en la región.  

El evento será transmitido los días 5 y 6 de junio del presente año (10.00 horas GMT-5) y está dirigido a todos los actores de la cadena alimentaria: productores y comerciantes de alimentos, instituciones públicas, academia, consumidores y el público en general.

Los participantes del concurso de dibujo deberán enviar una pieza de arte digital en torno a la celebración del el Día Mundial de la Inocuidad de Alimentos. El ganador obtendrá un certificado y su arte será divulgado en nuestras redes sociales y en futuras campañas del DMIA.

For the third consecutive year, the international and regional organizations of CCLAC, IICA, FAO, OIRSA and PAHO/PANAFTOSA join forces to celebrate the Word Food Safety Day (WFSD) together and to emphasize the importance of food safety for better health.

Two activities will be carried out to celebrate WFSD. A webinar in which different experts from the region will participate, as well as a digital drawing contest, both with the aim of promoting food safety to improve our health.

The webinar is divided into two sessions. The first will share the experiences and perspectives of three Latin American and Caribbean countries on food traceability. To celebrate that Codex turns 60 years old!, the second session will look at Codex history and relevance at the global level, prominent role and the progress of Codex in the region.

The event will be broadcast on June 5 and 6, 2023 (10.00 hours GMT-5) and is aimed at all actors in the food chain: food producers and traders, public institutions, academia, consumers and the general public.

Participants in the drawing contest must submit a piece of digital art around the celebration of World Food Safety Day. The winner will receive a certificate and the winning artwork will be featured on our social networks and in future WFSD campaigns.
