Avocado chain in Mexico under the spotlight in World Food Safety Day event

In order to raise awareness on food safety issues among associates and the general population, the Association of Avocado Producers and Packers-Exporters of Mexico AC (APEAM AC), will organize its second World Food Safety Day Forum.

The event is organized with the aim of commemorating, promoting, disseminating and emphasizing to associates the importance of safety in the avocado crop production system. Various topics will be addressed, such as sustainability, laboratory techniques for analysis of microorganisms, pesticide residues, "accreditation", food safety and the impact of the use of biorational products on the future of food safety.

The event will be broadcast on 6 June on Facebook and is aimed at all actors in the food chain: producers, harvesters, packers, food merchants, public institutions, academia, consumers and the general public.
