The GFCM was awarded two international distinctions at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, held during the Saudi Feast Food Festival in Riyadh. This recognition marks an important milestone and underscores the organization’s ongoing commitment to supporting sustainable aquaculture across the Mediterranean and Black Sea.

Farmers of the water received the title of Best Fish & Seafood Book in the World 2025, while Farmed aquatic food for all tastes - already recognized as the Best Free Culinary Book in the World 2023 - was further honored with the Best of the Best Gourmand Award (1995–2024), celebrating 30 years of the event.

These awards acknowledge the collective work of experts, producers, educators, chefs, designers and communicators who contributed to the publications.
