The Global Forest Observations Initiative (GFOI) is pleased to announce the 2023 Information Exchange, which will take place virtually in three separate sessions on major forest regions.

These exchanges provide an opportunity for GFOI partners to update the community on recent activities, hot topics and common challenges that countries encountered in the development and sustainment of their national forest monitoring systems (NFMS) and associated emissions measurement, reporting and verification (MRV) procedures during 2023. This year, they are open to all GFOI partners and welcome contributions from anyone who is supporting NFMS development and MRV procedures in countries of the three regions.

Three teleconferences are taking place focused on countries and organizations in each of the three major tropical forest regions of the world: Asia-Pacific, Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC).

Asia-Pacific
