The Global Forest Observations Initiative (GFOI) convenes its Plenary event once a year.
The GFOI Plenary brings together the international community of forest monitoring countries, practitioners, development partners, and others who work to build national capacity in tropical countries.
Plenaries are normally hosted by partners worldwide. Last physical event was held in 2019 in Maputo, Mozambique (see the event webpage and flickr photo). Due to the pandemic, the Plenary in 2020 was cancelled and an online event was convened in 2021.
