Dr. David Nabarro, the newly appointed UN Coordinator for avian and human influenza, held a joint press conference at FAO Headquarters with Ms. Louise Fresco, FAO Assistant Director-General of the Agriculture Department. Dr. Navarro is preparing an international conference on avian influenza, due in Geneva, early November 2005.
