FAO guidelines on integrating genetic diversity issues into climate change adaptation planning
FAO new guidelines aim to bring together national plans for climate adaptation and global action plan for genetic resources for food and agriculture. Being the basis of food security, their conservation, classification and use is extremely important for climate change adaptation. Irene Hoffmann gives figures on existing resources and risks of losses and explains the different methods of conservation in-situ and ex-situ, used respectively for livestock and seeds.
