Distribution
Most extensive on acid rocks in Southeast Asia, Southeast USA, the southern fringes of the Amazon basin and in both east and west Africa, Acrisols worldwide cover about 1000 million hectares and are associated Nitisols, Ferralsols, Plinthosols, Lixisols, Arenosols, Regosols and Cambisols.
