ECOCROP

ECOCROP was developed in 1999, as a global crop database providing information for 2568 plant species and containing limited number of environmental parameters necessary to conduct crop productivity analysis. The ECOCROP database was discontinued around 2015. However, there is still a high demand for the database among various partners and practitioners. As a result, it has been incorporated into the GAEZ platform to expand the range of climatic, soil, and terrain parameters for different crops. This integration not only makes ECOCROP accessible to the user community but also extends its availability to other interested parties.
