Abstract: The Brussels Seafood Expo, the major networking event for the global seafood industry, took place at the end of April. The overall expectation expressed by the Expo participants was for continued strengthening of demand for seafood, particularly during the summer months. Higher prices are anticipated, due to limited wild catches as well as rising fuel prices, which translate into higher costs for fishing operations and product shipments.
