Mountain Hikers from across the country will converge in Senga Bay for a Hike of the Seven Hills of Senga on International Mountain Day, the 11th December, 2022. Hiking on International Mountain Day will be a way of raising the profile of mountains in three main areas; Tourism, health and wellness contributions, awareness campaign on threats to mountains.

Malawi will also host a National Advocacy and Awareness Conference on Mountains on 13th December 2022 at the Sunbird Capital Hotel will be the highlight of activities for the observance of 2022 International Year of Mountains.
