Hackathon: MountainHack: Students at work for IMD
The event, organized in collaboration with the Meneghini Institute of Higher Education of Edolo on the occasion of International Mountain Day, will take place on 11 and 12 December at UNIMONT and will see a collaboration between university students of the three-year degree courses and master's degree, together with the students of the IIS Meneghini who, with the help of mentors, experts and researchers, will work on the creation of strategies for the protection of mountain territories.
The challenges of the two days will refer to aspects linked to mountain areas, such as abandonment and the abandoned ski resorts and redevelopment of the valley bottom lands, all closely related to the framework of the growing effects of climate change .
During the event there will be connections with the Consulate General of Pakistan in Milan, with the event celebrating International Mountain Day organized by the Abruzzo Region in collaboration with the Department for Regional Affairs and Autonomy of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and with “ Campi d'Alta Quota ” storytelling organized by the Army and the world of Italian research to talk about the ongoing joint studies and experiments.
