“GOOD AGRICULTURE PRACTICE (GAP) INTERNAL AUDITORS TRAINING IS BEING ORGANIZED.

SDC funded and UNFAO implemented Inclusive and Sustainable Vegetable and Marketing (VEGI): Outcome 4 Legal Framework project provided support on creation of a legal framework for food security in the supply chain of plants and plant-based raw materials and its products. As a result, in May 2019, a joint order of the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry and the Minister of Health approved a “Simplified guideline to implement GAP in the fruits and vegetable production” and over 70 primary 70 primary producers of the food chain have confirmed that they have implemented the GAP in their operations.

GAP internal auditors training is being organized in Khuvsgul aimag between 21-22nd of November 2022 in cooperation with MoFALI and Agriculture department of Khuvsgul aimag.  The main objective of the training is  provide knowledge and ability to ensure the safety of food products, to supply guaranteed products to the market, to implement Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) requirements in the primary production of plant products, and to acquire the ability to perform internal audits.

The training is organized in dual modes (classroom and online) and over 100 participants, including primary producers who have introduced or are planning to introduce GAP in their activity, specialists of Khuvsgul aimag agriculture department and soums are participating in the training.
