GOOD AGRICULTURE PRACTICE (GAP) TRAINING IS BEING HELD IN SUHBAATAR, SELENGE AIMAG

02/05/2023
SDC funded Inclusive and Sustainable Vegetable and Marketing Project (VEGI): Outcome 4 Legal Framework implemented by FAO Mongolia provided support on creation of a legal framework for food security in the supply chain of plants and plant-derived raw materials and products.

As a result, in May 2019, a joint order of the Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry and the Minister of Health approved a “Simplified guideline to implement GAP in the fruits and vegetable production” and the GAP logo issued for the products which introduced the GAP was approved by the MoFALI and registered as an Intellectual property.

Hence the project provides continues support on the creation and strengthening of the GAP certification structure by organizing the GAP capacity building training in agricultural regions, particularly in Suhbaatar city of Selenge aimag involving the agronomists of 17 soums and 6 villages of Selenge aimag on 2-3th of May 2023.
