In cooperation with the Ministry of Information, the Ministry of Agriculture Livestock and Irrigation and the Ministry of Health and Sports, FAO Myanmar organized a talk show in commemoration of the upcoming World Food Day. The talk show theme is “Agriculture-Nutrition linkages and dietary trends in Myanmar.”

The talk show guests are as follows:
1. Dr Thandar Kyi, Deputy Director General, Department of Planning, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation;
2. Dr Lwin Mar Hlaing, Director, National Nutrition Center, Department of Public Health, the Ministry of Health and Sports;
3. U Tin Htut Oo, Former Director General (Retired), Department of Planning, the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation; and
4. Daw Ei Ei Phyo, moderator from Myanmar Television (MRTV).

The talk show was recorded at the Myanmar Television (MRTV) on 8 October and broadcast on MRTV and Farmers’ Channel starting from 12 October to 16 October. This talk show is part of the activities which FAO Myanmar has been organizing to promote the World Food Day 2019 and public awareness on food security and nutrition in Myanmar.
