«Un pays, un produit prioritaire» (OCOP)
L’Action mondiale pour un développement vert des produits agricoles spéciaux, «Un pays, un produit prioritaire» (OCOP) est un programme de cinq ans (2021-25) lancé par la FAO pour promovoir aux niveaux global, régional et local des produits agricoles présentant des qualités uniques et des caractéristiques particulières qui peuvent contribuer à la transformation en systèmes agroalimentaires PLUS efficaces, inclusifs, résilients et durables pour une meilleure production, une meilleure nutrition, un meilleur environnement et de meilleures conditions de vie, ne laissant personne de côté.

In placing the production, distribution and marketing models of smallholders and family farming at the centre of interventions, the OCOP helps countries leverage their potential and identify the Special Agricultural Products adapted to their agroecological production systems and national or cultural heritage, ensuring improved access to stable markets and acting as a key entry point for reaching their defined priorities.

Since the launch of the OCOP in September 2021, over 85 Members from all five FAO regions have expressed their strong, preliminary interest in promoting the green development of over 55 Special Agricultural Products.
