| Committee on Constitutional and Legal Matters |
The Committee on Constitutional and Legal Matters (CCLM) consists of a Chairperson, who does not represent a region or a country, and seven representatives of Member Nations, one from each geographic region of FAO. The CCLM assists the Council in carrying out its duties by addressing specific constitutional and legal matters which may be referred to the Committee arising out of the Organization’s activities. The functions of the CCLM are enumerated in Rule XXXIV, paragraph 7 of the General Rules of the Organization. The Chairperson and the Members of the Committee are elected for a period of two years at the session of the Council which follows a regular session of the Conference.
