The ultimate goal of this study was to conduct a deep, two-hour assessment with approximately 50 to 60 enterprises that could be considered to be agroecological. To reach this point, a wider range of high-level agri-businesses were first identified and etremined by:

(1) if they had at least some potential to be agroecological; and

(2) if they were established businesses as opposed to pre-revenue start-ups.

This study took place from January to June 2023 and this report can serve as an introduction to the Agroecology Enterprise sector in Kenya and Uganda.
