Peruvian youth contributing to Rural Agrarian Development: YPARD Peru and its EJR and Maxima projects

Peru’s rural communities, particularly in the agricultural sector, continue to face deep-rooted social and economic inequalities despite playing a crucial role in feeding the nation. The COVID-19 pandemic and political tensions have only worsened these challenges. In response, YPARD Peru, the local chapter of the global network for young professionals in rural development, is making strides to bridge these gaps through initiatives like the Escuela de Jóvenes Ruralistas and the Máxima Project. These programs aim to empower young leaders and rural women with skills in agroecology, project management, and leadership, paving the way for a more inclusive and sustainable future.
