عنوان المشروع الكامل FAO Digital Services Portfolio (DSP)
تاريخ البدء 31/12/2016
الحالة Ongoing
هدف موضوعي

The DSP aims at making useful data, information and statistics available and accessible as digital services to rural communities, by providing them digital agriculture advisories that leverage the knowledge of Countries, FAO and strategic partners in the mobile world.

شركاء
Although the DSP applications were developed initially for use in two countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, Senegal and Rwanda, in 2017, they have been expanding since then and being rolled out to Egypt, Tanzania, Jordan, Iraq, Bangladesh … These apps and services can now be adapted for use in other countries as well and development is planned for Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.
المستفيدون
The DSP targets more specifically farmers, fishermen, livestock keepers, traders, extension officers, nutrition officers and other agricultural stakeholders in the field.
أنشطة
The DSP focuses firstly on the development of four main themes that help improve agricultural services and availability of local content: Weather and Crop Calendar, Livestock, AgriMarketPlace, and e-Nutrifood.  Countries can add their own themes, tailored to their specific needs, to bring specific information and tools in the hands of decision makers and farmers in the field, leveraging digital capabilities in agrifood systems for better production, better nutrition, a better environment and a better life. Advisory services include also now tailored advisories on: Post harvest practices and processes (Jordan), Capture Fishery, Aquaculture,  date and citrus production (Egypt), and COVID-19 food safety advisories (Egypt, Jordan, Senegal), as well a farmer to farmer forum (Egypt, Jordan) that provides the farmers with the ability to post questions and receive expert advice from governmentally appointed agriculture experts, post success stories, upload photos and videos and receive feedback from other farmers.
تأثير

Depending on the specificities of the country rollout, particular emphasis is put on the needs of young, self-employed entrepreneurs, female headed households, breaking down the barriers for access and use of information through digital technologies.
